Our Mission Statement

Being obedient to GOD's word and faithfulness to His mission will enable us to reclaim the fallen and serve ourselves, family , church community and the world.

Wilson Memorial United Methodist Church was founded in the latter part of the 19th century by members of the Conway Community , in Gambrills, Maryland and it was not until 1954 that many years of hard work and faith that the present edifice was established. In the intervening years , 1960 through early summer of 2014 Wilson congregants from one generation to the next continuously supported the church and achieved a number of milestones; notably , the formation of ministries within the church that responded to spiritual needs of women, men and youth.

Wilson Memorial United Methodist Church has enjoyed the leadership , gifts, and talents of several pastors' and their families throughout its 60 years to include: Rev. Thomas Robinson , Rev. Preston Vauls , Rev. William H. Davis, Rev. Silas J. Mack, Rev. Julius F. Ford, Rev. Charles Creek , Rev. Eddie Smith , Rev. Willie Mae Parker, Rev. William Butler, Rev. Roberta Matthews, Rev. John Coursey and Rev. Robert Walker .

And we are blessed to have the leadership of Pastor Gregory J. McNeil in this sixtieth year of God's grace and mercy.

An embrace of Paul's voice in 1 Corinthians 15:58; namely, his exhortation for us to remain resolved , steadfast and unmovable continues to inspire and to uplift the Wilson Memorial faithful.

We are genuinely grateful fro Almighty God's continued blessings and boundless grace throughout these six generations as we rejoice in yet another year in which we hope to show our love both for God and all our neighbors. We pray a rich blessing on the ministries of this church even as we ask for that same unfettered agape love on the supportive communities surrounding this church and the hearts and hands of the men, women, and children who will surely follow in our footsteps.
